The Helio Sequence Biography
Formed in 1999, The Helio Sequence is a duo made up of Brandon Summers on guitar and vocals and Benjamin Weikel who plays keyboards and drums. Weikel occasionally plays with the indie rock favorite Modest Mouse.
The band's sound is best described as a strange mix between electronica and indie rock.
Brandon Summers, the lead vocalist, damaged his vocal cords so badly before the 2008 release of Keep Your Eyes Ahead that he had to relearn to sing. Keep Your Eyes Ahead was the second release from Sub Pop for The Helio Sequence. Their other album handled by Sub Pop was 2004's Love And Distance.
