  • Band of Horses was formed in 2004 by guitarist and vocalist Ben Bridwell and his friend and fellow guitarist Mat Brooke. The pair had originally been in a band called Carissa's Wierd before Band of Horses.

Flight of the Conchords

  • Flight of the Conchords is a comedy duo, Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement, from New Zealand. Originally the stars of their own BBC radio show, Flight of the Conchords starred in their own American television show that began in 2007 on HBO.

The Helio Sequence

  • Formed in 1999, The Helio Sequence is a duo made up of Brandon Summers on guitar and vocals and Benjamin Weikel who plays keyboards and drums. Weikel occasionally plays with the indie rock favorite Modest Mouse.

Iron and Wine

  • Iron and Wine is actually the stage name for one man: Samuel Beam. He was raised in South Carolina but eventually moved to Florida for school. He now lives full-time in Austin, Texas.

Mudhoney

  • One of the premiere grunge bands of the late 80s and 90s, Mudhoney was formed in Seattle in 1988. They were a huge influence on some of the greatest bands of the generation including Nirvana's Kurt Cobain.
